Current Problem:
With current implementations of wireless networks there are a lot of weaknesses. This causes a problem of security vulerablities. A person with a wireless card on their computer could track down important information about the network and users just by watching packets across the network. Due to this problem there is a need for a secure network that will allow users to transparently log on to a network without any loss of accessibility.

Project Objective:
Our objective was to build a wireless basestation using off the shelf equipment. This basestation will allow a user to login to our server using a wireless connection. The user will use a user name and password as given to them on a remote secure server used for authentication purposes. In our case it was the Ohio University mail server. This way any person with a Oak ID and password is able to log on to our server without and worries of security breaches.
